Itinerary
Welcome to Costa Rica! For your added comfort, our representative will be waiting for you just outside the airport doors, holding a sign with your name. After clearing immigration and customs, you’ll be greeted and escorted by your private transfer, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride to your hotel in San José.

Travel to Turrialba, where your white-water rafting adventure on the Pacuare River begins.
After an early pickup from San Jose, you’ll get to the Rios Lodge Operations Center in Turrialba to change clothes, store unneeded luggage, and get drybags for luggage you are bringing to the lodge. At the put-in, you’ll get your rafting gear and a safety briefing from guides.
The wonderful, fun Class 1-3 rapids and scenery of the Pacuare River will entertain you for the next couple of hours as you raft right to the Rios Lodge. You’ll arrive by early afternoon to the Rios Lodge with a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch awaiting you.
The Río Pacuare, flows approximately 108 kilometers (67 mi) to the Caribbean. It is a popular location for white water rafting and whitewater kayaking. The rainforests that surround the river are home to exotic animal species such as jaguars, monkeys, ocelots, and a very large number of birds. It is considered to be one of the 5 nicest rivers in the world to practice rafting.

Second day of rafting and then travel to your next destination, Arenal.
Your rafting trip on this lower section of the Pacuare River from Rios Lodge will take between 2 and 4 hours depending on the water levels. The trip takes out near the town of Siquirres. Your return shuttle to Guápiles will meet you at the rafting takeout, and any stored luggage will be there for you. Then private transfer to Arenal

The plains, rainforests and rivers make the north central a must-see in any Costa Rica program. The main attraction is the iconic Arenal Volcano. Canyoning in Costa Rica is an exhilarating experience that combines rappelling, climbing, hiking, and exploring stunning waterfalls in the heart of the rainforest. This adventure takes place in lush canyons, where participants descend natural rock walls, cross rushing streams, and immerse themselves in the beauty of untouched nature.
Designed for adventure enthusiasts of all levels, canyoning provides a unique way to explore Costa Rica’s wild landscapes while enjoying an adrenaline-filled experience.

The 3.6 km trail, which takes approximately 3 hours to complete, offers the opportunity to observe three waterfalls, each reaching heights of up to 30 meters. Along the way, there are spots to take a break, refresh, and regain strength in one of the natural lakes. Afterward, the Sky Tram transports visitors to the top of the Arenal Reserve, where an adrenaline-filled adventure above the treetops begins.
The zip lines provides a unique perspective of the rainforest and its surroundings. This system includes 8 cables, totaling 1.7 miles in length, with distances ranging from 100 to 2460 feet and heights reaching up to 660 feet. Participants will soar above the treetops, enjoying panoramic views of the Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal.

A place of swaying palms and playful monkeys, sparkling blue water and a riot of tropical birds, Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio is the country’s smallest and most popular national park. It’s a truly lovely place; the clearly marked trail system winds through rainforest-backed white-sand beaches and rocky headlands, the wildlife (iguanas, sloths, monkeys) is plentiful, and the views across the bay to the pristine outer islands are gorgeous.
Manuel Antonio National Park combines the rainforest with breathtaking white-sand beaches, among the most beautiful in Costa Rica. The Manuel Antonio Region has received plenty of coverage in travel magazines, earning it the distinction of one of the 10 most beautiful places in the world!

Accommodation: Si Como No Hotel (2 Nights)

Paddle a kayak for just over an hour, navigating past small islands while observing marine birds and their nesting grounds. Biesanz Bay, a beautiful hidden inlet, offers a chance to rest, enjoy a snack, and snorkel.
The 30-minute stop allows for exploration of the coastline, with water visibility varying by season. Opportunities may arise to spot parrotfish, starfish, angelfish, and possibly even a sea turtle.
Afterward, paddle back to the pier, keeping an eye out for pelicans, flying fish, and other marine life along the way. Upon returning to the pier, head back to base camp to relax and enjoy a delicious homemade meal. This Manuel Antonio tour is beginner-friendly, as it does not require previous kayaking experience.
